The Phantom Of The Opera Detroit reviews
Wonderful matinee performance!
I must admit, I came into this show a tad spoiled, as my one introduction to Phantom was at the Pantages Theater in Toronto, that was constructed specifically for this show. And while I LOVE the Music Hall at Fair Park, the stage seemed just a little undersized for this performance. However, the set was fantastic, and they utilized the space to great effect. The stairs behind the Opera House were my favorite part of a very creative display. My children LOVED the performance, but they indicated hearing the vocals to be a bit challenging - and I agree. They did up the output slightly mid show, but a slight bit more would’ve been ideal. Overall, the entire family had a thrilling time watching the most engaging musical of our era.
